We work daily in all parts of California
Interpreters Unlimited is always interested in new interpreters. If you live in California and are interested in interpreting we urge you to contact us.
If you are a healthcare interpreter it may help to know that we strongly endorse the guidelines formulated by California Healthcare Interpreting Association (CHIA) . If you are not familiar with these you can find a copy on the CHIA website. If you need information about how to become a certified interpreter you can find information on the CHIA website about training and you can find information on the CPS website about medical and administrative certification. Court certification in California is administered by the Judicial Council.
California certifies in a limited number of languages: if you do not speak one of those languages you can instead apply to become a registered interpreter - details on the Judicial Council website.
If you are interested in applying to work with us as a freelance interpreter, please fill out a copy of our Interpreter Questionnaire. You can download it in the following formats:
(Right-click one of these three links and choose "save target as" or the equivalent in your browser)
You can fill it out by hand and fax or mail it to us or you can fill it out electronically in Word or another program and email it to us. If you cannot download it for some reason, please contact us and we will fax or mail it to you.
