A Colorful Logo, Identity and Website for an Innovative Engineering Company

The Challenge: Disruptive startup company Chilldyne was ready to enter the data center cooling market with an innovative liquid cooling system aimed at eliminating inefficient air-conditioning cooling in data center environments.

The Solution: Evolution Design selected a mobile-responsive theme with off-screen mobile navigation and a sticky header. We provided copywriting services, illustrated charts and built out each page of the site to be engaging and colorful. We also designed the logo, business cards and an electronic letterhead.

Standing Out in a Crowded Real Estate Market

The Challenge: Wanting to stand out from traditional real estate brokerage firms, 1850 Realty had an idea for a badge style logo design, and also needed a business card and two signs designed. In the year 1850 the city of San Diego was incorporated and the state of California was granted statehood, so a historical style was desired to support the business.

The Solution: We delivered a logotype mixing traditional and modern typefaces. Cyan, bright purple and gray were used for all materials including multiple logo versions, a business card, two sign designs, and a postcard design.

Website Theme Customization & Logo Design

The Challenge: With a common tie of being parents of autistic children, the bloggers behind Raising Autistic Kids were ready to launch their blog and start building an online community.

The Solution: A mobile-responsive theme was selected for further customization. Evolution Design added new graphics and backgrounds, changed the colors from a black and white scheme to a more colorful approach, added a simple logo design, edited code and configured WordPress widgets. Once the website was live we assisted the client at the launch party by presenting to bloggers and stakeholders.

Logo Design & Website Theme Customization

The Challenge: With a personal and professional wine background, and a recent certification as a Sommelier, Winegal needed a personal blog to build her wine community in preparation for a future e-commerce site.

The Solution: Evolution Design created a logo design featuring a burgundy colored wine stain element. A mobile-responsive theme from StudioPress was selected for further customization. We added new graphics and backgrounds to create a professional and unique color scheme and appearance.

Logo Design & Responsive Theme Customization

The Challenge: Well before the business was ready to make its first sale, the owner of nonprofit consulting firm Create Possibility was ready to create a WordPress website and business blog.

The Solution: Since the client was ready to start blogging right away, Evolution Design recommended the Streamline theme from StudioPress, a responsive theme tailor-made for business blogging. The client had their content written and organized ahead of time, so the website was assembled quickly. Once we completed a simple logo design, we then customized all the graphics and backgrounds to create a professional and unique color scheme and overall appearance. A customized MailChimp subscription form widget was created so that visitors could be added automatically to the client’s email audience database.

A New Look for a Thriving Skincare Business

The Challenge: Looking to add to an already stellar reputation, but at a new location, Skin Theory wanted to print new business cards and increase bookings at their new coastal location. With expanded hours and added services in place, a professional look was needed.

The Solution: A number of typefaces and design styles were explored before a classical look was selected. The old style typeface, combined with a soothing color scheme and ‘wise owl’ woodcut-style element were intended to portray an experienced, professional approach.

Second Site for San Diego Fiduciary

The Challenge: Our first site for Foster Thornton LLC was created in 2006 and the client had received a number of positive comments on the appearance and professionalism. Much of this was due to the outstanding consulting and writing services provided by Leah Swearingen, a San Diego PR pro. We particularly like one client story where the client was recommended by a lawyer along with several other fiduciaries… “The client looked at my website and decided she doesn’t want to even meet with anyone else.” Positive comments are great but also caused the team to want to figure out what elements of the old site design should be carried over to the new site. Screen sizes had changed a lot since 2006, so the site would need to look very different than the old one.

The Solution: Evolution Design provided a custom themed WordPress website and blog. Shades of beige, gold and brown were used, along with soothing stock imagery, to give visitors a sense of calm during the process of selecting a fiduciary. The logo, identity and brochure design that we had previously designed for the client was working well for them, so the new website design featured the logo prominently, along with a solid box of the mustard yellow logo color below.

A Logo and Web Design for A Caring Company

The Challenge: Ovaleye Cloud Services is a Washington State web hosting company who occasionally turns to Evolution Design for static web design services. Their client Special Care Agency had a slightly dated identity and their company website was looking small on modern browsers. A unique new website design was needed to showcase their new logo, caring approach and comprehensive list of specialty care services.

The Solution: Evolution Design provided a variety of designs for the client to select for further development. Once the homepage design was approved five additional static page layouts were created to give the development team a clear picture of the design intent. Two additional large images were selected for a homepage slideshow. Luckily the business had their sitemap established and content ready to go from the start, which helped speed up the development process. Ovaleye created a custom theme using the popular Joomla CMS. Additional assignments for this client included logo design and keyword research.

A Colorful, Friendly Logo to Launch A New Plant Line

The Challenge: While known primarily as a poinsettia grower, Paul Ecke Ranch has also marketed a wide variety of nursery plants. After cultivating a new sun-resistant flower variety aimed at novice gardeners, they needed a logo design and creative direction.

The Solution: A logo design, engaging direct mail piece, and colorful trade magazine ad campaign were designed to help pitch the concept to the client’s marketing partners. Eventually launched under the Viva! plant brand, Sunpatiens are now sold at The Home Depot.

An Established Restaurant Launches A Fresh New Menu

The Challenge: After becoming a fixture on the Encinitas coastal breakfast and lunch scene, St. Germain’s Bistro & Cafe wanted to extend their hours and promote their take-out and catering services. With a long history of closing right after lunch, a new logo design was desired to support their announcement of a new chef, new entrees and evening hours.

The Solution: Hundreds of typographic options were presented leading up to the client’s selection of a clean and simple type solution. The bold steam element was designed to represent hearty fare and a cooking flame. The logo was imprinted on recycled bright green to-go bags, as well as in new menus, displays and signage.
