The Challenge: Disruptive startup company Chilldyne was ready to enter the data center cooling market with an innovative liquid cooling system aimed at eliminating inefficient air-conditioning cooling in data center environments.

The Solution: Evolution Design selected a mobile-responsive theme with off-screen mobile navigation and a sticky header. We provided copywriting services, illustrated charts and built out each page of the site to be engaging and colorful. We also designed the logo, business cards and an electronic letterhead.

Fine-Tuning a Theme for a Growing Green Business

The Challenge: Fast-growing East Coast landscape company Premier Lawn and Landscape Design had an existing WordPress website which lacked text and project photography and was not presenting the desired level of professionalism. The Solution: A mobile-responsive theme was selected that featured a collapsible mobile navigation menu as well as a sticky header. Website Theme Customization & Logo Design

The Challenge: With a common tie of being parents of autistic children, the bloggers behind Raising Autistic Kids were ready to launch their blog and start building an online community.

The Solution: A mobile-responsive theme was selected for further customization. Evolution Design added new graphics and backgrounds, changed the colors from a black and white scheme to a more colorful approach, added a simple logo design, edited code and configured WordPress widgets. Once the website was live we assisted the client at the launch party by presenting to bloggers and stakeholders.

Logo Design & Website Theme Customization

The Challenge: With a personal and professional wine background, and a recent certification as a Sommelier, Winegal needed a personal blog to build her wine community in preparation for a future e-commerce site.

The Solution: Evolution Design created a logo design featuring a burgundy colored wine stain element. A mobile-responsive theme from StudioPress was selected for further customization. We added new graphics and backgrounds to create a professional and unique color scheme and appearance.

Adding Warmth to an All-Blue Identity

The Challenge: The experienced accountants of San Diego CPA firm Friedman Brannen had a static website with solid content but an outdated design. Their logo and corporate identity featured a corporate dark blue color for all elements.

The Solution: Evolution Design created a custom themed WordPress website with brown and beige to complement the dark blue in the client’s logo. To add warmth and a friendly appearance, shades of brown and gold were used in buttons, text and imagery throughout the site. A customized how-to guide was created to help website managers understand and change their site.

The Challenge: After spending years honing their craft and building a new artisinal salmon smoking facility in Santa Barbara, wholesaler Santa Barbara Smokehouse was ready to start marketing their products online.

The Solution: Evolution Design created a custom themed WordPress website with a wood plank background and brown and red color scheme. Decorative content boxes and sepia-tone imagery help convey a traditional feel. A mobile plugin allows switching between desktop and mobilephone views. A customized usage guide was also created to help the client team make simple changes internally.

Logo Design & Responsive Theme Customization

The Challenge: Well before the business was ready to make its first sale, the owner of nonprofit consulting firm Create Possibility was ready to create a WordPress website and business blog.

The Solution: Since the client was ready to start blogging right away, Evolution Design recommended the Streamline theme from StudioPress, a responsive theme tailor-made for business blogging. The client had their content written and organized ahead of time, so the website was assembled quickly. Once we completed a simple logo design, we then customized all the graphics and backgrounds to create a professional and unique color scheme and overall appearance. A customized MailChimp subscription form widget was created so that visitors could be added automatically to the client’s email audience database.

Instant Mobile Optimization Using a Pre-Built Theme

The Challenge: Soon after opening their first restaurant location in Carlsbad, KASI Indian Restaurants decided that an “editable” dynamic WordPress website was needed to replace their static website.

The Solution: A pre-built responsive theme from StudioPress was selected, which displays content in an adaptable format optimized for best display on mobile devices, while desktop computer users are shown a more rich, textured look. The homepage features a responsive image slider, which re-sizes and relocates itself to fit different screen sizes. Evolution Design assembled the website, color-adjusted some client-supplied images, provided copy-editing, and customized all areas to add the company brand elements. An automated MailChimp subscription form was added, with branded subscription and confirmation forms.

A Warm Website For A Full Service Training Firm

The Challenge: After updating their logo and sales brochure, San Diego corporate presentation training specialist 2Connect wanted to upgrade their aging web presence with a custom WordPress website and blog.

The Solution: Evolution Design created a custom themed WordPress website with a warm brown background color to compliment the brown and green in the client’s logo. A bright purple color was used to add interest in key messaging areas throughout the site. The website uses large images and links to highlight key content and staff.  A rotating image slider is featured on the homepage. All areas of the site were built with client editability in mind. A custom usage guide was also created to help the client team make future edits in-house.

A Colorful Shopify Web Design

The Challenge: Online florist Cityside Flowers had just completed a new logo design, and needed to get a Shopify e-commerce website launched immediately.

The Solution: After reviewing the Shopify theme options with the client, a mobile-responsive theme was selected for further customization. Evolution Design provided copywriting and custom graphics for every theme area possible, including the header, homepage slideshow, and sales banners. We provided creative direction, Shopify configuration, and assistance with minor custom development. All theme settings were customized to coordinate with the client’s brand. Client imagery was optimized for web use, then client content was added to the site, along with custom favicons. Once the site was live we assisted the client with content fine-tuning, as well as Twitter and blog training.
