The Challenge: When Paul Ecke Ranch decided to approach a leading Japanese seed company with a distribution and partnership proposal for a new hybridized line of sun-tolerant impatiens, the marketing team wanted to demonstrate exactly how they would market the cultivars if given the opportunity.
The Solution: To ensure that the sales presentation was successful, we prepared a product-launch campaign for the new plant line. The assignment included development of a logo, plant tag, ads, and a high-impact direct mail piece. A year after we prepared the presentation the deal was done, and a new stakeholder and garden product marketing specialty company completed the product launch in Sunset Magazine and elsewhere. The finshed campaign, advertising Sunpatiens for sale at Home Depot in Spring of 2006, was based largely on our consumer-friendly design work.
